Smart Energy Water (SEW) Welcomes David Etheridge as Advisory Executive

Smart Energy Water today announced the joining of industry veteran David Etheridge as the Advisory Executive. David joins SEW’s advisory board to propel the tech leader through its next growth phase and establish platform advantage to fulfil the vision of connecting people with energy and water providers all around the world.

With more than 35 years of experience, David brings with him deep industry expertise. He has worked with the world’s largest companies to solve complex business issues, focusing on customer interactions, capital asset acquisitions and operations, work management and productivity, commodity risk management, workforce management, fiscal responsibility and regulatory demands. David’s experience includes counsel to boards of directors and executive teams on productivity improvement, cost reduction, business process design, systems requirements, planning budgeting and forecasting, ad information technology systems integration. He has developed industry-leading tools, applications, and accelerators that enable companies to solve their operational and business challenges domestically and abroad.

David is the ex-leader of the PwC U.S.A. Power and Utilities Practice and the Global Leader of PwC’s Power & Utilities Consulting business. As the Global Power & Utilities Advisory Leader, David was responsible for overseeing PwC’s development and delivery of globally relevant industry solutions.

Additionally, David led initiatives that helped power and utility companies solve complex business issues affecting today’s industry.

During his career, David served as a lead Partner on numerous large-scale technology-enabled consulting engagements. His clients have included The Southern Company, PG&E, AES, Portland General, Spire, Entergy, Hawaiian Electric, SCE, Calpine, Southern Natural Gas, FP&L, TECO, NV Energy, among others.

David is a frequent speaker and has served on numerous power and utility panels, task forces, and other industry initiatives. He has authored or co-authored articles and other publications related to emerging industry matters.
